Teletronix UA UREI LA-2A Original Beede VU Meter. Works, But Damaged Cover, #2.
This is an original Beede VU meter from an LA-2A. It works well. The front bezel/cover, which is gray, is badly cracked and is in poor condition but if you're replacing a faulty LA-2A meter, it's relatively simple to remove the damaged cover from this one and install the one from your old meter in it's place. To do that, remove the 2 screws on the back and carefully bend the locking tabs inward while gently pulling the cover away. Then position the adjustment cam on the replacement cover so it lines up with the silver loop on the bottom of the meter mechanism, and snap it into place.
These meters are extremely rare and almost never become available. They have not been made for many years.
This meter was tested at the time of listing and is guaranteed to work properly.
