Original UREI 1176LN Rev D Limiter #2044 Full Refurb, XLNT Cond, Works Great!
Original UREI 1176LN Rev D Limiting Amplifier, serial number 2044, manufactured and first sold in 1972. Units is in excellent mechanical, electronic, and cosmetic condition. Front panels is near-perfect; the only flaws are some extremely light scratches at the top and bottom edges, and slight wear near the rack holes.
All the electrolytic and tantalum have been replaced, with top quality components. The 4 power supply caps have been replaced with Vishay / Sprague D type electrolytics. For preventative maintenance the Attack control has been replaced with an exact replacement part. The VU meter lamps have also been replaced.
The unit has been calibrated and tested extremely carefully, and checked with an Audio Precision analyzer to verify that it matches the original UREI specs.
Our premium Flexo covered XLR input and output adapter cables have been added to the unit.

The 1176LN, perhaps the most famous and popular limiter of all time, was personally designed by Bill Putnam in 1966. The gain reduction circuit uses an FET as a variable leg in a voltage divider circuit. The 1176LN limiter is exceptionally musical, fast and easy to use. Construction is robust, with an accurate, high quality VU meter. The unit will operate on 110 or 220 volts, 50/60 Hz.
