In many cases, MTM’s fail due to a dead analog delay module. These modules were manufactured by Marshall Electronic to stringent specifications, with the circuitry and component details never released to the public.
After several months of research and preparation, we have finally begun to manufacture small numbers of replacement modules and will be offering some for sale.
This type of module, the ADL-50 Series III, was manufactured by Marshall as a universal replacement for the Time Modulators. It can be used to replace either of the two modules (ADL-70 or ADL-60) in the model 5002, or the #1 module in the 5402. Minor modifications (an additional resistor and a trace cut) are required when this module is used in the 5002. In the 5402 you can just drop it in with no circuit changes.
We’ll include an instruction sheet that explains these simple mods, and tells you how to adjust the bias.
The module is fully guaranteed for 90 days. If you have questions about repairing your unit contact us, and we’ll do our best help you out.
We have all parts for the Time Modulators, including the ADL-400 , which is the #2 module in the 5402.
