Vintage NOS GE 5-Star 5814A/12AU7 Preamp Tube with Matched Dual Triodes, Satisfaction Guaranteed.
Short grey plates, halo getter, this tube is a very rugged military version of a 12AU7 with low microphonics.
These are very musical tubes with air and sparkle at the top end, warmth in the mids, and great bass.
Perfect for guitar amps, they have a wonderful phat gritty sound when overdriven.
Tested on Precision Apparatus Model 10-12 with matched dual triodes
Triode #1 = 68, Triode #2 = 68, where the minimum good reading is 54.
