Ampex Shielded Test Probe with TT Plug For Troubleshooting Patchbays Etc. The tip of the test probe is connected to the tip of the TT plug. Can be used to search for and identify patchbay and other connections, audibly or with test gear. The probe also has a small lamp on the end that is connected to the Ring and Sleeve of the TT plug, that can be turned on with a small push switch on the barrel of the probe. Not sure what that function was used for. Tip of probe is very hard and sharp, good for testing and troubleshooting. Good condition, probably unused.
